Senior Analyst Program

The CHOMP Senior Analyst Program

The CHOMP Senior Analyst Program is a semester-long leadership experience that empowers advanced students to mentor analyst teams through a comprehensive case study while developing expertise in equity and credit analysis, financial modeling, and team management within private markets.

ROLE OVERVIEW

Team Leadership

Senior Analysts lead analyst teams through the semester-long case study, delegating deliverables across the three project phases (Company Evaluation, LBO Model, and Credit Analysis, and Final Presentation), ensuring quality standards are met, and coordinating timelines with Case Directors

Mentorship & Development

Senior Analysts provide ongoing guidance to their team members on financial modeling, valuation techniques, credit analysis, and presentation skills. They lead internal team meetings, facilitate collaboration, and help analysts develop technical and professional competencies.

Case Director Liaison

Senior Analysts serve as the primary point of contact between their team and Case Directors, communicating progress updates, clarifying expectations, and escalating questions or challenges as needed

Presentations

Senior Analysts support their teams in preparing and delivering the final Investment Committee presentation, ensuring cohesive analysis and professional-quality deliverables throughout the semester

Recruitment

The Senior Analyst Program is a project-based division with limited spots available. While applications are open to all students, CHOMP primarily recruits internally from those who have successfully completed the Analyst Program. The recruitment process includes an application submission and a single interview consisting of behavioral questions and more advanced technical assessments.
